Evaluation Of My Continuity Sequence

In this project we had to create and film a 40-90 second video showing some kind exchange
between two people. We had an exchange of a note with a insult on it angering the receiver of the note engaging him in a chase with the giver of the note. This is the evaluation of the finished
video, i will be discussing the factors that make a good video and discus what is good and what
is bad.

Mise-en-scene
In are video we were planning to have the video starting at the church, due to complications we were unable to film at the church and had to find a new location. Mise-en-scene is the way the stage and scene is presented. Throughout the video we used the Mise-en-scene technique well. There is one scene where we filmed the shot but after looking back on the scene it had a camera bag in the background ruining the scenery.
Lighting
The lighting is anything to do with light in videos such as what types of lighting used, shadows and if a scene is too bright or dark. We used all natural lighting so we didn't really have any choice on how bright or dark it was however we used open areas to get as much light as possible. All shadows used were natural. We used light to the best of are abilities considering we were outside for all of the video. In one of the scenes the runner is crossing the road and the light is too bright and out of focus we couldn't fix this as the road was busy and we were unable to do the scene safely.
High or Low Camera Angles
High or low angles are just angles that are higher then the subject in the shot or lower than the subject in the shot. In are video we used a few low angle shots one being a worms eye view of the chaser jumping over boxes. We also did a close up of the chasers feet at a low angle and linked it to the music so as the chasers foot came down the beat of the song dropped. However we didn't manage to add any high angles into the video because of time.
Different shot distances
The shot distances is what is in the scene at the time. We added as many different shots as we could using wide shots ,close ups, medium shots, In one shot we used a close up to show anger on the chasers face and used a medium shot later on also to show anger. We didn't however show a extreme close up due to running out of time.
Camera  movement
A camera movement is any type of shot with the camera moving around. In are video we used one camera movement in which the camera moves from the note on to the chasers face, this works well with the dramatic music playing and gives us a view on how angry the chaser is. we were only allowed one camera movement in are video and we only used one.
Fades or dissolves
A fade or dissolve is a different way of cutting other than just using in cut over and over, They can normally be used to insinuate time passing. In are video we used a fade by having a character walk closer and closer towards the camera until he blacked out the whole screen. Apart from that one fade are video just used cuts which could be considered boring.
The continuity system:

180 Degree rule

Establishing shots

Match cuts on action

Eye-line match cuts

POV shots
A POV is a point of view which is looking though the eyes of the character as if you were them. In are video we used a POV at the beginning showing the runner stick the note to the door. We only used one POV as we thought it was unnecessary  to use anymore.
Shot-reverse shots
