Initial Unilever Research

Unilever is a company who own/support a huge amount of brands. I am going to research some of the different brands by watching and discussing some of the advertisements the brands have made.

The flora advertisement Fit by Katie is a unorthodox way of advertising and this is because they use embarrassing family story's that people can relate to and then have the child narrate it in a clueless way to make a crude joke sound innocent, they throw in tiny bits on promotion such as the little girl saying it low fat very quickly before carrying on with the story. they go off of the innocent child gimmick. This is aimed at anyone however the joke of the advert is anyone older than twelve, you could also argue that the animation style is aimed at kids however most kid wouldn't get the embarrassing joke that is the main point of the advert.

This is a advert for Lynx that promotes the fact that he smell of lynx's makes girls want you and plays of the fact that angles represents beautiful girls and then use the slogan hat even angles will fall. The fact that a deodorant would make girls more attracted to you is ridiculous, however puts across the idea that it dose smell good.
