Documentary Formats

La sortie des usines Lumière: This is a short Documentary with no speech. It is essentially the employees of the people filming leaving work after hours. This is authentic as there would be no reason to fake this as it is a normal thing that would happen every working day. The soundtrack is a quite tune in the background to go with what is going on screen.

Bowling for Columbine: This is a Documentary about the gun laws in the America and why it is a problem. The man in the documentary is very passionate about the laws being stricter and because of this he is quite bias and edits the documentary to prove his point and does not cover the whole story. He edits the beginning scene to make it seem like he got a gun in one day when in actuality it had taken weeks to have a background check on him and he has just put the same clothes to make it seem like the same day. This isn't as authentic as it could be as it lies to the audience to trick them into think the situation is worse than it actually is and also cuts the part of the conversation that might go against the point of the documentary.
